Ten people on Unlimited, billed yearly, cost 10 × $7 × 12 = $840 per year. The same team on Business costs $1,440 per year. Adding Brain AI at the listed $9 per user adds $1,080 per year on top, for either plan.
Guests on Free Forever get full edit access, and that cannot be restricted. On paid plans, guest seats are limited and people from your own company count as billed members. Custom fields, Gantt, dashboards and time tracking on the free plan are trial uses: you keep the data when the trial uses run out, but you cannot create more until you upgrade.

Tasks do not count against storage; only file attachments do. You also get 3 whiteboards on Free and 10 on Unlimited, and API calls are capped at 100 per minute on every plan below Enterprise.
What is still a trial on Unlimited
The free plan labels many features as "trial": Gantt, custom fields, time tracking, goals, dashboards and more. Unlimited turns some of them into real features, but not all. On the pricing table, these are still trial uses on Unlimited and fully included on Business:
- Timeline and Workload views
- Dashboards and Timesheets
- Mind Map and Map views
- Clips and proofing (image and PDF annotation)
- Tasks in multiple Lists, custom exporting, critical path
So if dashboards or a workload view are the reason you are paying, Unlimited at $7 is not enough, and Business at $12 is the real price. If you mainly need storage, Gantt, time tracking and guest permissions, Unlimited covers it.

Guests and billing rules
- The whole workspace upgrades. You cannot pay for some members only. Each workspace is billed separately.
- New members are prorated for the time left in the billing cycle.
- Guest seats grow with the team. Unlimited gives 5 guest seats for a 1-person workspace plus 2 per extra paid user, so a 10-person workspace gets 23. Business gives 10 plus 5 per extra paid user, or 55 for 10 people. Read-only guests are unlimited on paid plans.
- Colleagues are not guests. ClickUp bills people from your own organization as paid users.
- Refunds: a full refund if you ask within 30 days. After that, a cancelled plan runs to the end of the cycle.
ClickUp AI pricing
AI is sold on top of the plan. Free Forever includes a trial of AI features. The two paid options listed on the pricing page:
- Brain AI, $9 per user per month: unlimited Brain assistant and AI writing, AI chat with Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini models, and 1,500 AI credits per user per month.
- Everything AI, $28 per user per month: adds unlimited use of the AI notetaker, AI fields and AI automations, with 5,000 credits.
Extra credits cost $10 per 10,000. ClickUp says yearly billing saves up to 20% on AI, so check which billing cycle the listed price uses at checkout. For a team of 10, Brain AI at $9 adds $1,080 a year.
